Considerable interest in Infection Prevention symposium

28 nov 2011 - More than 120 professionals from hospitals, nursing homes and convalescence homes attended the Infection Prevention symposium organized by Alpheios, which was held at the Figi Hotel in Zeist. These infection prevention advisors and quality employees saw Marga van Praag, the chairperson for the day, pose critical questions to Erwin Duizer (RIVM), Thea Daha (WIP), Marijke Bilkert (IGZ) and Ed van Beeck (Erasmus MC), amongst others.

“I recognize the considerable commitment shown in this area by the visitors to our symposium”, said Roger van Wersch, Managing Director of Alpheios International. “However, infection prevention needs to be brought into the spotlight much more. In my opinion, institutions that monitor this issue proactively – either through their own staff or external parties – deserve to be complimented. After all, infection prevention is still not a matter of course today – even though it saves lives.”
